With more than 30 years of professional grooming experience, Becky Bliss has dedicated her career to helping pets look and feel their best while mentoring the next generation of grooming professionals.
A proud Arizona native, Becky has spent decades building expertise in breed-specific styling, pet safety, creative grooming techniques, salon operations, customer service, and pet handling. Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide variety of breeds, coat types, and grooming styles, developing a reputation for quality workmanship, patience, and a genuine passion for the profession.
As the founder and lead instructor of Southwest Grooming Academy, Becky is committed to providing students with hands-on, real-world training that prepares them for successful careers in the pet grooming industry. Her teaching philosophy combines technical skill development with the business, communication, and animal care knowledge needed to thrive as a professional groomer.
Whether working with aspiring groomers or pet parents seeking to improve their home grooming skills, Becky believes education, compassion, and confidence are the foundation of every successful grooming experience.
When she’s not teaching or grooming, Becky enjoys spending time with animals, supporting the local pet community, and sharing her passion for the grooming profession throughout Arizona.
